sheafrotherdon posted a new Farm in Iowa story today for the SGA...10 Years Later Fest. I got it recorded, edited, mp3 created, the mp3 listened to, file uploaded to the hosting server and posted; all before 11:00 pm. All since about 6:00 pm, actually. :)

I know, these have been recced before as well. But they are some of my very favorites. I seem to have a fondness for stories that are AU and are often domestic and may contain children and animals. Sometimes all of the above! I have read each of these multiple times and listened to the podfic (when available) many times as well.

I've finished editing parts 26 through 30 (The Ballad of the Lincoln Cafe) and have parts 31-33 to edit. Then I'll get them sent in for posting to audiofic. I've also just finished recording parts 34 (Nine Short Months) through 41 (Stains and Things), which will complete the stories sheafrotherdon has posted on AO3 as the A Farm in Iowa 'Verse. There is always the A Farm in Iowa Apocrypha I could do next. I might consider it.

Parts 26 through 29 have been recorded as one podfic as have parts 31-33 due to the very short length of each part. Part 30 (The Ballad of the Lincoln Cafe) is recorded on its own as it is 19,604 words!

I'm on my second bout of bronchitis since November 3rd, so am a bit behind in my recording. Also, some of the A Farm in Iowa recordings I had already done had a background buzz when I went to edit them. Sadness. I'll need to re-record them and since my voice is crap right now... As soon as I can (this weekend?), I'll start re-recording. I think I know what happened and will be sure to test before recording anything of any length.

I have taken on recording the A Farm in Iowa 'Verse by sheafrotherdon. I started sort of in the middle because someone else had already recorded some of the earlier stories. With permission from the author, I also plan to record the earlier stories and will post them to audiofic. Even though the stories below look out of order, they can be read (or listened to) in this order.
