More fic recommendations

I seem to have a fondness for stories that are AU and are often domestic and may contain children and animals. Sometimes all of the above! I have read each of these multiple times and listened to the podfic (when available) many times as well.

Podfic! I recorded the 41 stories (at the time) that Cate had on her AO3 A Farm in Iowa 'Verse series page.greeniron was wonderful and put them into an audiobook format. It is over 14 hours long!

Author's summary from AO3: Once upon a time, I wrote a little fic called Checkmate where for some unknown reason, John Sheppard had been turned into a cat. And then the whole thing took on a life of its own and all of a sudden there were mumble-mumble chapters of the whole thing, and, well.
It all started, as these things do, with mission, a shaman, a vision quest ceremony they decided to participate in to be sociable, then all of a sudden, things weren't so ceremonial...
